Goodwill Appoints Interim CEO
Bridgeport, Conn. (December 31, 2019) – Goodwill of Western and Northern
Connecticut (GWNC), a driving force in helping individuals with
disabilities, economic disadvantages and other barriers to employment increase
their independence and contribute to their communities, today announced the
appointment of Suzanne Baldasare, Esq., Chairman of GWNC’s Board of Directors, as
interim CEO. Baldasare succeeds CEO
Vickie Volpano, who led the organization for six years and was instrumental in
growing GWNC’s footprint within Connecticut.
Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut provides critical job
training and placement for individuals with barriers to employment throughout
its region and generates vital program funding through its retail stores.
“I’m delighted to lead the hundreds of talented individuals who work across our career centers, human services, retail, and administration as we prepare to welcome a new CEO,” Baldasare, Interim CEO, said.
Ms. Baldasare will lead the Fairfield County nonprofit until a new
CEO has been appointed. GWNC has enlisted Scion Nonprofit Staffing to lead
recruitment efforts for a new CEO.
