Goodwill Give Back Raises More Than $17,000 to Benefit the Urban League of Greater Hartford
Bridgeport & Hartford, Conn. (May 31, 2022) – Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut (GWNC) today announced that the 2022 Goodwill Give Back raised $17,520.72 to benefit the Urban League of Greater Hartford, a community-based nonprofit that works to improve equity in education, employment, housing, health, and social justice. Now in its second year, the Goodwill Give Back is an initiative where GWNC partners with organizations that align with its mission to help people get jobs and advance in their careers.
“Among the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s many services is a shared focus on empowering individuals to get the jobs they need. This synergy, combined with their impressive community impact, made them a natural choice to benefit from this year’s Goodwill Give Back,” Heather Marquis, Vice President of Human Services, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, said. “We are grateful to our customers for choosing to roundup their purchases and join this effort with us to improve outcomes for the Hartford community.”
