Message to the Community: Coronavirus Prevention
Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is committed to the
health and safety of our customers, donors, clients, program participants, and
team members.
Our Proactive Response Team (PRT) has been assembled. They are
reviewing recommendations daily from the Centers for Disease Control, the World
Health Organization, and state health officials to reduce the spread of the
Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Employees are receiving frequent communication from the PRT about
precautions and hygiene routines. All facilities and store locations are
frequently disinfecting common touchpoints such as doorknobs, counters,
registers, restrooms, shopping carts, computers, and desks.
Goodwill has asked staff to stay home if they are sick. We have
also posted flyers at all store entrances asking shoppers to reschedule visits
should they exhibit any symptoms.
While Goodwill continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19, our
stores, and donation locations remain open for business. However, offices and
program facilities are not accepting guests at this time. We have closed Career
Centers out of an abundance of precaution but are still operating virtual
services to assist the public. Should we become aware of any compromise to the
health and safety at any of our locations, Goodwill will act immediately to
protect all involved.
The health and safety of our customers, donors, clients, program participants, and team members is our chief priority, and we are committed to doing our part to help keep you safe.
